my australia day

ok so i didnt do much australia day...mostly just swam and tried to do as little as possible...
BUT on the monday holiday i caught the new train to mandurah...and boy was i in for a shock!!!
the train was awesome...quiet and fast as anything...but i had no idea the extent of development around rockingham and mandurah...it was incredible to see all the new housing developments along the train line...no wonder we needed a train line...
anyways the train was kool...mandurah has also grown a whole heep since i was there last...and in saying that i cant actually remember when i was there last...i think it was for a picnic with my small group before i went to qld so that must be like 5 years ago...there are so many new buildings and canal developments the whole place was alive and thriving...
we had lunch and went to a ferry ride around the new canals and stuff, saw some dolphines and so other wildlife.
i think the train was an awesome idea!!!
Now though i am faced with the prospect of going back to work next week...
im a chaplain in a local primary school, and as much as i am looking forward to going back to school (mainly cos im bored out of my brain) im also a tad scared...we have a new principle this year and i havent met him yet, i went back to the school today to check in and see if much had changed...my room was just as i had left it and the staff i saw were happy and chatty...so heres praying the year gets off to a smooth start :)

im so bored

thursday night is usually small group night...but its not on so im at home...
i kind of screwed myself into having a boring night cos i went shopping for some new clothes during the day thinking i was goin out tonight and now i cant bring myself to go back to the shops...so what does one do?
tv is a nonevent...theres nothing on...that is to say nothing im interested in....
and so i have very quickly found out that missing small group sucks...
anyways i had a swim and now im typing this blog...its still hot...and its still light outside and the time is 8:10pm (im not a fan of daylight savings)
tomorrow i get to go to one of my jobs...3 days a week i am a primary school chaplain and the other two days i work for an accounting company...so 2moro im goin into the office...i actually like it (well all of it except the work), the receptionist is really kool and its a good change from being at school...and 2moro im goin to wear some of the new clothes i bought today...
wow what a load of junk lol
if anyone has read this i applaud you and promise i will write something more interesting in the future...

so here i am writing my first blog with no idea what to write about...
hmmm let me see im watching the cricket at the mement and india is batting on the first day of the adelaide test...they are 2/110 at the moment and australia are in need of some wickets...
